This Privacy Policy explains how Anchor Lab ("BYANCHOR", "we", "us") collects and uses personal data when you visit byanchor.co.uk or buy from us. We comply with the UK GDPR and the Data Protection Act 2018.

2. What we collect

  • Order data: name, delivery and billing address, email, phone, items ordered. Processed by Shopify on our behalf to fulfil your order.
  • Account / newsletter data: email address you give us when signing up for a discount or newsletter.
  • Usage data: pages viewed, device/browser type, approximate location, and referring URL — collected via cookies and Google Analytics 4.
  • Support data: anything you send us by email or contact form.

3. Why we use it (lawful bases)

  • To process and ship your order — contract.
  • To send marketing emails after you opt in — consent (you can unsubscribe at any time).
  • To run, secure and improve the site — legitimate interest.
  • To meet our tax and legal duties — legal obligation.

4. Who we share it with

We share data only with processors who help us run the business: Shopify (checkout & orders), Google (analytics), payment providers, and shipping carriers. We never sell your data.

5. International transfers

Some processors are based outside the UK/EEA. Where they are, transfers are protected by UK adequacy regulations or Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. How long we keep it

Order records: 7 years (tax law). Newsletter list: until you unsubscribe. Analytics: 14 months.
